When I'm away...

It's been so long since I've actually spent time in SL and dared to take a photo, I almost feel like a newbie! LOL.

Then, when I sat down to edit in PS, I realized I had forgotten some shortcuts and was left wondering... how di I merge layers? How to do you customize the brushes? such basic things, oh dear...

When I'm away... I can't help but wonder if someone would come into my little house by the sea and live in it; Sometimes I even fantasize about the idea that "NatG" could be taking long walks on the beach, watching movies on the couch... enjoying her life without needing me.

This little new collection from Mr. iBi, showing his sweet Miss Gracie Coco being herself... is gorgeous down to every little detail, and as expected, I fell in love with it.

From today, I know that my own version of Miss Gracie will be enjoying my little corner of relaxation waiting for me to come back, when I'm away...

Hello, hello! <3

Where to start after being quiet and not posting for a little too long?!

I’ve been through cyclical bouts of creativity (less and less often) followed by periods in which I feel just empty and bored with my own work.

Since I came back home (from London to the Canary Islands), I started to have the social life I had in the past, then got a new job, and became more and more difficult for me, to find the time to sit in front of my laptop and log in Second Life, then wasn’t just the time but the inspiration and ideas for blogging.

My new job in a law firm has challenged my ability to multitask and be 100% present and focused throughout the day, draining my energy and leaving my brain cells in a freeze.

Don't get me wrong, I love my job, I have great hours, and it's a short bus ride to and from home, saving me parking and traffic stress. It is in a beautiful old and commercial neighborhood of my city, and it is a delight to walk around, do some shopping, or have a coffee in the area. And on top of that, on Fridays I leave at 3pm, perfect for lunch and an afternoon with friends. I can't complain about anything, but it has affected my motivation to spend time in SL and my inspiration to blog.

At first, I thought it would be a matter of a couple of weeks to pick up the rhythm of this new life and get organized. But a couple of months have passed and nothing has "gotten better". I see the work that you all continue to do with your blogs and I think it's wonderful, and yes... I wonder if I have lost that spark, it saddens me to think that I may have.

I miss spending hours setting up and taking down sets, but I don't have time for that anymore, I wish 2 or 3 hours were enough!! but I’m not that quick. I see the creations of my sponsors and others in SL, and I get excited and want to work with them, but I log into SL and I'm unable to put two things together and make them look good, or at least for me… and then find the motivation to finish the scene.

I have wonderful sponsors, I still wonder how they didn't "kick me out"! and I feel horrible for not promoting their events and creations as they deserve during this downtime on my part.

I keep spending too much money every week when I browse sales and new creations, always thinking about what would look beautiful in my avatar, with a decor set or in a photo.

I have been many years in SL taking photos, (since 2007) I started the blog quite late, in the summer of 2017. I keep checking Flickr and FB almost every day and seeing the beauties you all do makes me want to buck up and take pictures.

So I don't think I'm going to disappear, from time to time I'll take photos and post on the blog, because I think it can always be useful for others to know where to find what they liked, but the most honest thing for me now is to let my place in the teams of my sponsors, for others with time, ideas and more consistency publishing on their blogs.

These years of learning and meeting new people have been tremendously enriching, I can only say THANK YOU SO MUCH!  in capital letters, for the help, support, and love that I have always received, for contributing to my personal growth and being a better person, even if it’s in a different way, I will continue here, keeping an eye on you all, only a bit quieter.

And now… after this uncomfortable and way too long speech, let me list the precious things I have used in this corner, ready for the summer by the sea, I think I will definitely move to this haven of serenity...

Well, well, well... we got Apple Fall and Fancy Decor working together releasing two gorgeous collections you'll love.

The first one is a living room collection, released this month at FaMESHed. It's modern and classic, with a sophisticated touch from two very stylish designers that always create with such attention to detail and quality, you can't help it but need it for your home.

The second one is a tea station, now at Equal 10,  with many lovely pieces of decor and a tea machine that dispenses 6 flavors of tea. Even the HUD is beautiful!

I've been trying to furnish and decorate "my house" since Christmas, and these releases came just in time for me to create my own working and relaxing space within the house. I can be social, but then I need alone time to recharge too, so I decided to create a cozy room where I could sit with friends and have a drink, work or relax on my own, enjoy a cup of tea... all in one.

And then Christmas arrived and took over everything!
Having some relatives from abroad visit, helped to make all the craziness before Christmas Eve even crazier.
I fell in love with reBourne's recent release Camden a stunning loft, and I've decided will be my new home, so I'm sure I will be showing you much more of it. Actually, I wanted it to be ready for Christmas and feature many of December's beautiful releases *cries*
Even in RL we only managed to get the Christmas tree finished on the 22nd December, so I'll keep mine in SL for longer, Fancy Decor's ornaments are too gorgeous to be kept in a box, plus in Spain, most of the families still celebrate The Epiphany, and the Three Wise Men are the ones bringing the presents on the 6th of January, so my Apple Fall elegant and beautiful presents will have to wait to be opened.
I've followed and shopped from Loft&Aria since... more than 10 years, when each had their own shop, and they never disappoint, attention to detail, and contemporary and stylish designs. Mudhoney too, there's always too much in my inventory... I would need several houses lol
Kraftwork is another favorite and I so love that the coffee table comes with a fully decorated version.
To complement this comfy and cozy sofa we just need Madras' fluffy and warm rug, and we are ready to cozy up these cold evenings, with a glass of red wine and some music in the background.

It gets colder, but yes I'm in the Canary Islands, so no one would believe I need a heater and warm socks lol. But the truth is that once the house gets cold, until next summer, we're done...

I don't think any natural Christmas tree for sale is grown in the islands, they are probably imported, so not only it's difficult to find them, but also feels kind of wrong, so many years ago my mother got a lovely artificial one that has lasted 25 years or so and still looking beautiful

Probably that's why I loved Dust Bunny's blooming tree, full of flowers. An original alternative to the traditional Christmas tree, especially for warm places. Still I'm all for red wines and hot chocolate to keep warm inside ;)
