Make yourself a priority

We know about the importance of self-care, being kind to yourself, resting, and recharging your energy.
Not only for your well-being but also to be able to give back and help others.

Two months ago today, I was admitted to the hospital for what I thought was a flare-up of Crohn's disease. In my mind, I thought it would be a matter of a couple of days, maybe a week, but it ended up being 7 weeks!

The medication wasn't enough, I needed surgery and had to wait 3 weeks for it to be scheduled. I was told it will be on the 14th, and then 8am on the 5th, surprise!! you are having surgery this afternoon! Besides the complications and subsequent infections, it has been quite a journey!

Today marks 1 month since surgery and 2 weeks back home, I finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Without pain, I can move more and better, always with the girdle on, I can walk longer and I can sit still for a couple of hours :P

Day by day I feel more like myself now.

 I had my laptop with me in the hospital, but my head wasn't there, so even if I had a lot of "free time", I tried, but I didn't manage to be productive, I didn't finish my book, I didn't paint, I didn't take photos or edit, it was like if my brain wouldn't focus for more than an hour.

I guess our body somehow knows when it needs a break and decides to focus on what matters to it, so there were plenty of daytime naps, a fuzzy brain, and hours... slipping through my fingers.

I never expected that this would take so long, I contacted some of my sponsors, because I could not meet the deadlines and I apologize for any inconvenience that may have caused, but this time I did have to radically put myself first.

Although my creativity has been greatly diminished and I feel blocked, I miss decorating and taking photos, so little by little I hope to be more active again and blog more, there are so many beautiful creations to feature...

We all know that as soon as you plan your day it's very likely ir will turn out to be very different.
I've always been a "night owl" since I can remember, but since a few months... I feel sleepy so early, it's untrue! lol Even if I've been taking very little pain killers, still the medication I'm on has a lot of side effects that are messing me up...

So I was working on this post last night but my eyes were more interested on shutting down -.-
And today my day off, my plan of "relaxing" publish and maybe work on another one... of course couldn't be. I don't like telling much, because one, I like to stay positive and two because it can be so boring! But anyway, I had to be a few hours out for some tests..., so back home... hey what the post?!!! Much later than expected but I finally I managed to get it ready.

So here it is, wearing Dead Dollz's lovely gown at Uber; since I put it on I couldn't get out of my mind My Fair Lady's song "I could have danced all night". I fell in love with  Minimal's Town Hall backdrop also at Uber now, and then is this gooorgeous group gift!! all together transported be to another time. So I've been listening to a lot of old songs.

I also did a close up to show some details, like those cute elf ears by lOGO and the sweet skin  released for Mae's head (don't worry you can use it with all LOGO's heads), and it comes with system layer in case you want to use it on other heads that have BOM enabled!
