Two months ago today, I was admitted to the hospital for what I thought was a flare-up of Crohn's disease. In my mind, I thought it would be a matter of a couple of days, maybe a week, but it ended up being 7 weeks!

The medication wasn't enough, I needed surgery and had to wait 3 weeks for it to be scheduled. I was told it will be on the 14th, and then 8am on the 5th, surprise!! you are having surgery this afternoon! Besides the complications and subsequent infections, it has been quite a journey!

Today marks 1 month since surgery and 2 weeks back home, I finally begin to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Without pain, I can move more and better, always with the girdle on, I can walk longer and I can sit still for a couple of hours :P

Day by day I feel more like myself now.

 I had my laptop with me in the hospital, but my head wasn't there, so even if I had a lot of "free time", I tried, but I didn't manage to be productive, I didn't finish my book, I didn't paint, I didn't take photos or edit, it was like if my brain wouldn't focus for more than an hour.

I guess our body somehow knows when it needs a break and decides to focus on what matters to it, so there were plenty of daytime naps, a fuzzy brain, and hours... slipping through my fingers.
